I Received my BS in EE at Michigan Technological University in 1987. After several cold winters, I went south where I received my MS and Ph.D. at North Carolina State University in 1989 and 1993 respectively.  My Ph.D. advisor was Professor Joel Trussell.  After NCSU, I was a National Research Council Research Associate at the National Institutes of Health from 1993 through 1996.  In 1997, I joined Color Savvy Systems Limited as a Senior Scientist.  In 2002, I began work at ViewAhead Technology in Redmond WA.  In May 2004, ViewAhead Technology was acquired by Conexant Systems.  Conexant closed the Redmond facility in 2005 and I then joined TAK Imaging.   In July 2006, TAK Imaging closed their Redmond office.  I have since become a founder of Pagemark Technology.  The focus of Pagemark is the development of technologies relating to Microsoft’s new XPS document format.
